Navigating Transitions for Women: A Design for Living

November 21-23, 2025 at Essex Woods Retreat Center

Change

By now we have learned that we cannot change other people. All we can change is ourselves. But we have to be willing to do the work – to dive deep (who are we, what do we value), to let go (of unrealistic hopes, our own limiting beliefs), to take action (a plan for the New Me)

This retreat is for you if:

  • You are suffering from significant life changes, such as losing a job, a spouse, or a dream

  • You feel confused - at a crossroads, uncertain of who you are now and what you want next in life

  • You have a desire to re-invent yourself and design a life centered around your values, passions and talents (but how?)

  • You want to realize your full human potential and achieve personal happiness and fulfillment (but how?)

If you are ready to invest in yourself and design the life you want to live, then this retreat is for you.

Join me and up to 20 other women on a three-day guided journey to navigate through transitions in your life.

This retreat is not for you if you are looking to be pampered, relax, drink umbrella drinks by the pool and generally take it easy. This is a working retreat — we are there to do the work of creating our best selves.

Is this Navigating Transitions for Women: A Design for Living retreat right for you?

Challenges and struggles, like:

  • Loss of identity – especially after the loss of a spouse or a job. You don’t recognize yourself or your place in the world anymore

  • Seeking purpose/new direction

  • Lack of self-confidence and lack of belief in your own abilities to transform your lives

Are you full of fear:

  • Fear of failure – the apprehension of not succeeding in your new endeavors can paralyze you from taking any action

  • Fear of Judgement: What will other people think (society) of me, what will my friends and family think of me?

  • Fear of the Unknown – venturing into new territory or making significant life changes can be terrifying with a clear roadmap – especially if you don’t have a path or tools.

Obstacles you may be facing:

  • Feeling pressured by societal norms or expectations about how you should live your life at your age

  • Limited support network: you’re lacking a supportive community or network that understands and encourages your transformational journey. Maybe you’re expecting support from people who are not capable of supporting you in the way you need.

  • Financial constraints – you are facing financial limitations that restrict your options for making significant changes (unemployment, divorce settlement, children, etc.)

Are you making these mistakes?

  • It can be easy to stick with what’s not working rather than stepping into the unknown! – even if it is unsatisfying or unfulfilling

  • Overthinking? Do you get caught up in the “what-ifs” and potential scenarios leading to analysis paralysis?

  • Neglecting self-care: do you put your needs and well-being last, thus diminishing your energy and motivation for change?
